Three-Phase Solar & Battery — Mudgeeraba

A 14.73 kW array with per-panel optimisers, 40 kWh of storage and a three-phase supply — engineered around heavy shading on a bushland block.

Built for shade, and for whatever comes next

The Mudgeeraba owners came to Evolved Solar with a difficult site and ambitions well beyond a standard rooftop system — a bushland block with heavy shading across the roof through the day. The homeowner is an electrician himself, so this one was co-designed rather than simply quoted.

Our crew completed a three-phase supply upgrade, installed 14.73 kW of Jinko panels with a TIGO optimiser on every module, then commissioned a 40 kWh hybrid battery behind a 30 kW three-phase inverter alongside a 25 kW DC EV charger. The 60 kW Gateway Control was specified deliberately oversize, so more inverters and batteries can be added later without reworking the core system.

Designing around shade is where per-panel electronics earn their keep — and where the [three-phase supply upgrade] stops being optional. Every install is handled by our own licensed electricians, no subcontractors, and signed off to Australian Standards.

THE RESULT

Shade managed, and room to grow

With a TIGO optimiser on every panel, a module in shade no longer drags down the whole string it sits in — each panel reports and performs on its own. On a bushland block where the tree line moves across the roof through the day, that is the difference between a system that works on paper and one that works on site.

The 60 kW Gateway Control means the system isn't finished. Additional inverters and batteries can be added as the household's needs change, without revisiting the supply or the switchboard.
