Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are proudly Gold Coast based. Our primary service area covers the entire Gold Coast, Tweed Heads, and Northern NSW, Brisbane, and the Scenic Rim. If you are slightly outside these areas, just get in touch—we often travel for specialist off-grid projects.

    • Product Warranty: This comes from the manufacturer (e.g., REC, Fronius, Tesla). It covers the equipment itself against defects for 10–25 years.

    • Workmanship Warranty: This is our promise to you. It covers the installation—the cabling, mounting, and electrical work. At Evolved Solar, we stand behind our work with a comprehensive warranty on all our installations, meaning if a cable comes loose or a conduit cracks, we fix it for free.

  • Typically, we can have your system installed 2–4 weeks after you approve your quote.

This allows us time to secure your stock, handle the Energex grid connection approval, and schedule our installation team.

The installation day itself usually takes 1 day for a standard residential system.

  • Ideally, yes—at least for the start and finish.

We need access to your switchboard (which is often inside or locked) and we like to run through the system setup, monitoring app, and shutdown procedures with you once the job is done.

  • Absolutely. We aren't just "tradies"; we are guests in your home. We remove all cardboard, clippings, and debris. The only thing we leave behind is a lower power bill.

  • We set every customer up with a smart monitoring app (connected to your specific inverter brand). This allows you to see exactly how much energy you are generating, using, and exporting in real-time from your phone. If we install a consumption meter (highly recommended), you can even see your home's energy usage patterns.

  • On the Gold Coast, we get enough regular rainfall that panels are generally self-cleaning if installed at a standard pitch (10°+). However, if you live in a high-dust area or have heavy tree coverage (sap/bird droppings), we recommend a professional clean every 12–18 months to ensure maximum efficiency.

  • Yes. Every lead installer at Evolved Solar is a Clean Energy Council (CEC) Accredited Installer. This is mandatory for claiming government rebates, but more importantly, it ensures your system is designed and installed to Australia’s strict safety and performance standards.
